We placed eggs and a bone in vinegar to see what happens after one week. The next week, the calcium in the shells had dissolved and the eggs were very rubbery. The bone did not change much and we wondered what to do different next time, such as leaving it for longer or submerging it in another acidic liquid.

Aidan and Frankie are playing an attributes game called “Set”. There are categories of attributes: color, shading, number of shapes, and type of shapes. The object of the game is to find the “Sets”. A “Set” consists of three cards that have either all the same or all different aspects in each category of attributes. It may sound complicated but once you understand the concept it is a wonderful game for developing the ability to make visual observations quickly as well as understand the concept of attributes.

Our wide-open fields inspire joyful running and frolicking. So far this fall they have offered invaluable experiences for participants and I am curious to see what winter will bring.
